Parker & Brooke | A Boho-Casual Love Story

You don’t have to cross the ocean to find the perfect place to say “I do.” Parker and Brooke found theirs right here. Parker and Brooke’s wedding at Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn was one of those rare, seamless celebrations where love, creativity, and simplicity came together effortlessly.

High school sweethearts turned husband and wife, the Darnstaedts brought nearly eight years of shared history into their day. “We have remained in love for every minute,” Brooke said, and their joy radiated from every corner of the venue. Hidden Vineyard was the place they chose for their dream celebration, and by the end, they wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Meet the Couple: Parker & Brooke Darnstaedt

A boho, casual, elegant day rooted in natural beauty

Brooke describes their wedding vibe as boho/casual with touches of elegance and timeless pieces. Thanks to Hidden Vineyard’s décor inventory, they didn’t need to purchase much. With the barn’s warm wood tones and lush grounds already offering a built-in aesthetic, the couple simply added touches that felt true to them.

“This can serve as inspiration for couples who are planning on a budget,” Brooke shared. “I purchased so much from Facebook Marketplace, and I love to DIY. I put passion into everything I designed on Canva, and  it made the day even more special.”

The couple chose a soft, timeless palette of sage green and warm neutrals, selected not only for their elegance but for the way they complemented the vineyard and barn environment.

“It helped everything look cohesive,” Brooke said. “We didn’t want too many colors — the greenery and brown tones tied everything together beautifully.”

Q&A with the bride:
How did you land on your wedding colors?
“I wanted colors that would be timeless and elegant to look back on in the future.”

Did you use Pinterest or Instagram to help decide your wedding style?
“I actually used TikTok the most! Pinterest can show things you love, but TikTok helps you understand the price and vision at the same time.”

Brooke’s florals were simple and breathtaking combining white roses, baby’s breath, and lush greenery arranged by a florist very close to her heart: her husband’s aunt, who has been making Brooke bouquets since she was 16.

“My bridesmaids’ bouquets were full baby’s breath. Everyone told me it wouldn’t look great, but I listened to my gut  and I was so happy with how they turned out!”

One thoughtful touch stood out: empty vases at the bridal party table so everyone could place their bouquets in water during dinner. Simple, smart, and beautiful.

Q&A with the bride:
What was most important to you about your floral design?

“My bridesmaids were the most important part. I trusted my florist entirely with my bouquet.”

Brooke and Parker kept their reception décor minimal but meaningful. Clean table settings, cohesive signage, and just the right amount of greenery.

One standout detail: faux wood charger plates found on Facebook Marketplace.
“With white plates and white linens, we needed a color buffer. The chargers made everything look airy and elegant.”

Guests also loved their seating arrangements and the unique menu cards featuring sweet (and hilarious) definitions of love written by Brooke’s 14-year-old students — a nod to her career as an English teacher.

Every invitation, menu, sign, and printable was made by Brooke herself on Canva,  a passion that became one of her favorite parts of planning.

“I loved designing everything. I printed invites right from Canva and signage at Walgreens. If anyone needs help, I’m thinking of making a side hustle out of it!”

Their stationery suite featured engagement photos and the same sage-green palette for a cohesive look guests admired.

Parker and Brooke wanted guests to relax and enjoy both the indoors and the lawn, so they offered cornhole boards, footballs, and plenty of outdoor space to mingle.

Their guest book was a custom cornhole set, a nod to the couple’s favorite pastime — one they often enjoy in the front yard with their pups.

Thoughtful favors honored both sides of their personalities:

  • Golf tees for Parker
  • DIY bookmarks designed by Brooke for her fellow book lovers

But the biggest hit of all?

THE TACO TRUCK.
And according to Brooke, “That made our wedding feel like us.

Advice for Future Brides

Brooke’s wisdom is frank, heartfelt, and so helpful:

1. Protect your joy.
“Do not let others ruin your fun. It’s YOUR DAY. You are allowed to be selfish.”

2. Book amazing vendors.
“Vendors can make or break your day. Mine made it.”

3. Hire the day-of coordinator.
“She lifted so much stress from me. I didn’t even know what went wrong until weeks later!”

Q&A with the bride:
What do you wish you had known before planning?
“How many emails I would need to send! Make a Gmail account just for your wedding.”

What would you repeat or change?
Repeat: “My photographer. When I tell you, some of the best parts of my day were spent with my photographer…I mean it. She is literally amazing, and I keep in touch with her to this day. This goes for all of my vendors. I think my day was perfect due to the staff I had!”

Change: “Do differently – Not worry about saying hi and hugging every single person. We got dinner first, and then we went to each table. I felt bad because I felt like some tables held me for so long, and I was not able to spend time with others. Also, I was sweating because of it haha.”
